Graduation project

People who struggle to cope with all the daily stimuli are those with the behavioral disorder ADHD. ADHD is primarily diagnosed in children, and for that reason, it is often viewed as a childhood illness. In this project, I focused on adults. I investigated why we, as humans, perceive the need for structure, order, and control over things as pleasant, and how people with ADHD experience this in their own way. The reason for this is that these people find it difficult to introduce structure into their daily lives.

With my project, I aim to visualize the thought and perception process of their high sensitivity in order to provide more insight into the disorder ADHD. I have deliberately highlighted the positive side because there is still too much misunderstanding and negativity regarding it from society.

‘Another view of high sensitivity’ visualizes the positive side of the thought and perception process of the high sensitivity of someone with ADHD. The photo series zooms in on the world of someone with and without ADHD and allows you to look at the environment in which they live in a different light.
